Night In Indigo
Rainbows, sprinklers and water
Balloons waiting around corners,
We dance by the pool, hoping not
To get pushed in.
Grass like leeches attacks our legs.
Discovering her shapes and curves
In Moonlight, we are foolish as long
As we are allowed.
Tip-toe in the darkness, pool lights
Illuminate the night in soft/warm blue.
We ease in; "the water’s cold,"
She says. Time to jump in.
