Completely Average Tones

My voice speaks
in completely average tones.
I wish it could sing like bells or chimes
And reassure your gentle heart.

but it cannot. –

It can only tell you things
You don’t want to hear, things
It should leave silent.

So I pull the wind-catcher
And let the chimes sing out
Because my voice speaks
In completely average tones.
