Intermission
Steal a glance while she is fiery and new,
Waiting, wondering what
Is taking you so long.
Get her a soda, or maybe
Another bag of popcorn. Maybe
She just wants you to take her
By the hand and lead her
To a silent hallway out of view.
Kiss her, salted lips beg for a taste
Of water. Ask for another.
She said, "yes."
Fit your arm into the hollow
Of her hip return to your seat,
Guide her head to your shoulder.
Let it happen again.
